When relationships to one’s colleagues or associates are strained, again, there may be physical symptoms (Ps. 102:3–4, 7, 9). Certainly, the one praying this psalm is physically ill (6:2, 6, 7). But in considering the psalm as a whole, it is clear that the problem is more than physical. The psalmist believes that God is neglecting him.
